ROSEMARIE (BUBENCIK) MADARAS
NORWICH – Rosemarie (Bubencik) Madaras, 84 passed away peacefully at UHS Senior Living Center at Chenango Memorial Hospital on Sept. 29, 2015.
Rosemarie was born November 11, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of John and Anastasia Bubencik.
She was an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams included the Hoyas of Georgetown and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. She was a long time member of the I.B.E.W. union. She loved playing tennis and bowling. When not watching or playing sports she spent many hours gardening, baking and cooking. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her animals. She adored her grandchildren.
Rosemarie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Donald O’Brien; two sons Kerry and wife Amy of Endicott, NY and Joel and wife Dora of Miramar, FL; grandchildren Camila, Matthew, Isabella and Olivia; a sister-in-law Dorothy Bubencik; and niece, Betty and nephews, John and Byron
A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family in the Fly Creek Valley Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the guidance of the Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown, NY.
