DOROTHY MANWARREN
NORWICH – Dorothy “Dot” Manwarren, 82 of Norwich passed away on October 5, 2015 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1933 in Cincinnatus a daughter of the late Ray and Mabel (Brown) Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 65 plus years, Melvin “Doc” Manwarren; her children, Marge Custer and Dan Mahony, Terry Manwarren and Michele Guyer, Lewellyn and Ruby Manwarren, Cindy and Rick Bricker, and Annette Cooper and Ray Hill; 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her children, Kenneth Manwarren, Leon Manwarren and Louann Gordon and her brothers, Ivan Smith, Richard Smith and Gordon Smith and her sister Florence Hitt.
Dot had worked at Norwich Shoe Company for many years and also provided home care. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and her flower garden. She also helped her husband with painting the wood crafts that he often made. She loved hummingbirds and butterflies.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY with the Rev. Diane DiLuzio, pastor of the Oxford United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the time of the service.
