LINDA S. SPRINGER
NORTH PHARSALIA – Linda S. Springer, 69, of North Pharsalia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening , November 4, 2015, in the Wilson Hospital of Johnson City.
Linda was born in North Pharsalia on August 14, 1946 the daughter of Donald O. and Mildred Mowers Smith. She grew up in North Pharsalia and was a 1966 graduate of the South Otselic Valley School. On October 8, 1966 she married Clarence (Ronnie) (Moose) Springer who passed away March 25, 2005. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sibling and a friend to many. Her words of wisdom and kindness to others will reflect in those that knew her. During trials and tribulations she exhibited her strength and strong will on life. Over the years Linda won her battle with Lymphoma, has worked for a hospital in Syracuse, worked at the Valley View Manor Nursing Home, the Norwich Shoe Co., Gladding and lastly Simmonds Precision from which she retired.
Linda enjoyed life. She enjoyed watching her western shows on T.V., playing a good game of cards, watching ice skating, cooking and GOD FOR BID you called her between 6-7 when she was watching the news. She was a member of the Basket Buddies and a longtime member of the North Pharsalia Bible Church where she served as Treasurer.
Linda is survived by her daughters Amy Lynn Law of Oxford, Tammy Lynn Penner of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Teresa Lynn Quigley of Oxford, her grandchildren Erica Marie and Cory James Law, Dalton Max Penner, Jacob Ryan and Colton Mason Langille and Caitlyn Ashley-Lynn Quigley. Also surviving is her sister Harriet Leigh of Norwich, her brothers Everett Smith and wife Sherry of LA., Carroll Smith and wife Margaret of Sherburne and Calvin Smith and wife Vicki of Norwich. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Besides her husband Clarence, Linda was predeceased by her sisters Mary Bennett and Thelma Smith and brothers Donald, John and Llewellyn Smith.
A service for Linda will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev.es Moore, Pastor of the North Pharsalia Bible Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
