LESTER E. GOODRICH
BAINBRIDGE – Lester E. Goodrich, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away at home on Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was born on July 24, 1938 in Unadilla, NY, son of the late Leslie and Mildred (Roberts) Goodrich. Les served his country honorably in the United State Air Force. He started a 30 year career as owner and operator of Les Goodrich Heating and Plumbing. On June 21, 1958, he married the late Delores “Bunny” Hendricks in Sidney. She predeceased him on December 12, 2005.
Lester was a longtime member of the Bainbridge Fire Department. He was a member of the singles club and he loved to dance every Saturday night at Babcocks. Les also enjoyed camping at East Sidney Dam every summer.
Lester is survived by sons, Lester (Gina) Goodrich, Phoenix, AZ and Bruce (Janna) Goodrich, Monument, CO; daughters, Tammy Goodrich and Linda Farage, New Berlin, Leslie (David) Barnes, and Cindy Lou (Allen) Gascon, Bainbridge; brothers, Ralph (Judy) Goodrich, West Virginia, Earl (Rita) Goodrich, Oneonta; sisters Jeanett Zindel Greene, Jane (Jesse) Hulbert, Bainbridge and Thelma (Fred) Hinman, Oxford and special friend and dance partner, Ezelda Banks, Bainbridge. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren: James, Joe, Jamie (Rick), Jazmine, Brandy, Ryan and Mandy. And 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Lester was predeceased by brothers, William andThomas, Sisters Caroline Cluff and Marie Gill and his dog Brian.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel; 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY, Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
