ARTIMESE MAE PALMER
EARLVILLE – Artimese Mae Palmer, 82, formerly of Earlville, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
She was born February 5, 1933 in the Town of Guilford, a daughter of Ira and Gertrude Beckwith Bradley and received her education in local schools. Artimese married Ivan Jr. Smith, and later married Pearl H. Palmer who predeceased her on March 12, 1986. Artimese enjoyed making crafts and selling them at local fairs and carnivals. She was always available to help anyone in her community who needed her. She loved to dance.
Surviving are her children: Randy and Robin Smith of Earlville; Melodie Darnell of New Geneva, PA; Helen Bartle and Chuck Bates of Beaver Meadow; Rosemarie Thompson of Norwich; and Walter Palmer of FL; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Alvin and Ann Bradley of Charlotte, NC; and Jean Bradley of Oxford; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many step-children and their families, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Hanford Bradley, a brother, Willard Bradley, and two sons-in-law, Jake Darnell and Bill Thompson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday, December 4, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by interment in the Earlville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2pm prior to the service.
