CARL F. DANFORTH JR
ROCHESTER – Carl F. Danforth, Jr., 73, formerly of South Otselic and most recently of Rochester, passed away Thursday evening, December 31, 2105, in Rochester.
Carl was born in Utica on January 20, 1942 the son of Carl & Ruth (Livermore) Danforth, Sr. He attended school in South Otselic and following his education entered the United States Army serving his country from 1961 – 1962. His working career began with GLA of Norwich for a brief period of time. He then gained employment with New Process Gear of Syracuse retiring in 2002 after 30 years of service. While working in Syracuse Carl enjoyed staying at his camp on Tuscarora Lake in Erieville. He also had made his home on the family farm in South Otselic.
Carl is survived by his brother Richard Danforth and wife Deborah of Fairport, NY, his nieces & nephews Michael Danforth and wife Ute, Jennifer Danforth, Joanna Killigrew and husband Brian and his great niece and nephews Lukas & Roxanne Danforth and Aidan & Noah Killigrew.
A funeral service for Carl will be held on Friday, January 8, at 11:00 am from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery of South Otselic.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 10-11 am.
