NANCY R. (MIMI) NEWELL
Nancy R. (Mimi) Newell, 76, of Norwich, passed away Saturday evening, January 9, 2016, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital. She was born in Oxford on August 4, 1939 the daughter of John J. & Rose Funare Biviano. Nancy spent her entire life in the Norwich area and was a 1957 graduate of the Norwich High School. She was a 35 year employee of NBT where she worked in customer service retiring in 1996.
Nancy adored her grand baby’s. They were her life. In her spare time she enjoyed roller skating, sewing and crafts. On October 3, 1957 she married Donald Newell.
Nancy is survived by her husband Don, her children Donald Newell and Pamela Newell all of Norwich, her grandchildren Samuel Newell, Troy Stagaman and wife Nicole, Ashley Newell, Joey Newell and Mathieu Newell. Also surviving is a great grandchild and her sister Theresa Downey.
She was predeceased by a grandson Tommy Newell.
A private funeral service for Nancy will be held at the convenience of the family from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph A. Bove will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
