RONALD J. HERRETT
Ronald Jamieson Herrett (5/08/1934 – 1/26/2016) age 81, husband of Sally Ewing Herrett and son of Wilburt Atherton Herrett and Loys Richards Herrett, died from complications from Alzheimer’s.
Ron earned a Bachelor degree from Ohio College of Wooster and a Master of Science degree in chemistry from Oklahoma State University.
After graduation, Ron and Sally moved to Norwich, NY and raised three children, Michael K. Herrett, Michele Herrett Berry and Darren J. Herrett. While in Norwich, Ron worked as a chemist for Norwich Pharmaceutical (later known as Proctor & Gamble). He remained at Proctor & Gamble until his retirement. Ron involved himself in many aspects with the United Church of Christ, especially singing in the choir.
In the years before his death Ron and Sally resided in Frederick, Maryland at Homewood at Crumbland Farms Continuing Care Community. Ron and Sally celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Sally died, September 13, 2015. Ron is survived by a brother, Richard Herrett, three children; Michael, Michele, and Darren; four grandchildren; Kathleen, Erin, Salome, and Natalia, and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and John.
