Herbert F. Stevens, 78, of Norwich and Oxford, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Herb was one of a set of triplets who was born in Norwich on August 9, 1937 the son of Herbert and Cora (Donnelly) Stevens. He grew up in the Norwich and Oxford area and attended the Norwich Schools. Over the years he worked on the Cliff Chase farm and also did small engine repair.
Herb is survived by his siblings, Hubert Stevens of Oxford, who was one of his triplet brothers, Norman Stevens and wife Pat of New Berlin, Cathy Come of SC, Doris Parsale and husband Les of Norwich, Dorothy Marrone and husband Carl of Oxford, Leona Brown of So. New Berlin, Caroline Dalton and husband Gary of Norwich, Dianna Bennett and husband William of WV and Retha Wakefield and husband Moe of Oxford. He was predeceased by siblings Harold, Percy, Leonard, Carrie Lincoln, Rita Stevens, Janet Leech and Linda Stevens.
A Celebration of Life for Herb will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 3:00 pm from the Oxford American Legion. There will be no calling hours.
