SIDNEY – Alan Coy, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Wilson Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mildred Coy; his wife, Dorothy Coy; and his brother, David Coy.
He is survived by: Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Diana Coy of Mt. Upton; daughter, Sandra Reed of Sidney; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Floyd (Bud) Macumber of Mt. Upton; four grandchildren: Michael, Amanda and Angela Coy and Kevin Macumber; brother, Randall Coy of Texas; three sisters: Janet Tracy of Texas, Deborah Norman of Ithaca and Susan Fessenden of California; as well as several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Alan enjoyed drawing and playing cards, especially pitch. He loved spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1:00-3:00pm on Monday, May 16, 2016 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
