John Herbert Daniels passed away on May 8, 2016. He was born on March 23, 1927 in South New Berlin to Alexander and Rena (Coy) Daniels. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Daniels; his grandson, Brian Allen Daniels; and his siblings, Evelyn, Francis and Ronald. He is survived by his sons, David and Joan Daniels, of Guilford; and Herbert A. Daniels, of South New Berlin; three grandchildren, John Matthew Daniels; Sherry Lee Daniels; and Vickie Lynn and Greg Haggerty; five great-grandchildren, Madison and Luke Garner; and Brian, James and Nicholas Haggerty; two sisters, Norma Luoto; and Joyce Kott; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. John married Helen Viola Boise on July 25, 1946 in Endicott, NY. He purchased and operated his father’s dairy farm until 1989 and was a 25 year member of Eastern Milk Producers. John was also employed at Bendix Corporation in Sidney and retired after 20 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in South New Berlin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
