Kevin L. Meek, 60, of Oxford, New York, passed away unexpectedly May 15, 2016.
Kevin took pride in everything he did during his life from his work as a self-employed contractor, to his love and passion for the Holstein Breed of cows. He enjoyed gardening and recently took on the legacy of growing and selling “Meek’s Corn” which he inherited from his Dad.
Kevin had a good heart and a remarkable stash of knowledge which he shared with anyone seeking him out for information.
He is survived by his long-time partner, Cheri (Weeks) Ring of Oxford, brothers, Bradley Meek of Port Jefferson, NY, James (Linda) Meek of Oxford, Ronald (Kathy) Meek of Norwich, Gary (Deb) Meek of Canandaigua, NY and sister, Elaine (Bill) Lavacca of Sagamore Beach, MA, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Cheri’s children, Catherine Sherman of Norwich and Matthew Ring of Norwich and Cheri’s grandchildren.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Gertrude Meek and brother Charles (Chipper) Meek.
At Kevin’s request, there will be no funeral services. There may be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date.
Contributions in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Norwich or Oxford Emergency Squad or a charity of your choice.
