Carolyn Jeanne Blenis, age 65, of Allen, Texas, passed away May 21, 2016. Carolyn was born September 10, 1950, in Norwich, New York, to Charles and Jeanne (Tiffany) Wightman. She married James Blenis on April 3, 1971, in Norwich, New York. Carolyn was a long time member of the JVP Quilting Group meeting at First Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. She was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by her husband, James Blenis of Allen, Texas; parents, Charles and Jeanne Wightman of Mt. Upton, New York; daughters, Rachel Blenis Scroggs and husband, John of McDonough, Georgia, Sarah Blenis Terrell of The Colony, Texas, and Esther Lynn Reynolds and husband, Matthew of Ripon, California; and grandchildren, Julia Scroggs, Thomas Scroggs, Hannah Terrell, and Matthew Terrell.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Wightman.
A committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Ridgeview Pavillion at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
