Kenneth McClintock Switzer, age 90 of Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 2, 2016. Ken was born in Haverstraw, New York and raised in Norwich, New York, son of the late Charles and Margaret Switzer. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly Switzer and sister, Ann Kelley. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy where he earned the rank of Radio Man 3rd Class on the USS Lexington during WWII. He was a graduate of The University of Denver and went on to have a very successful career in the Insurance business lasting more than 35 years. Ken was an easy going and optimistic man who didn’t know a stranger. He had a loving and generous heart, always giving to others, and loved nothing more than spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of Toastmasters, Jr. Achievement, and UA Civitan. He will be greatly missed by his son, Kenneth (Susan) Switzer; grandchildren, Brian (Natalie) and Stephanie Switzer; and other extended family and dear friends. A service celebrating his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
