Timothy D. Clark
Timothy D. Clark, 54, of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY, following a brief illness.
Tim was born in Cortland, NY, on February 22, 1962, a son of the late Robert and Edith Stearns Clark. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1980 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School. He was a lifetime member of the Cincinnatus Fire Department and a former member of the Cincinnatus Grange. Shortly after graduating from high school, he went to work at Gladding Corporation, S. Otselic, and later at Cortland Line. He enjoyed deer hunting with his nephew, Phillip, and was proud to be an S.U. Basketball, NY Yankees, and Dallas Cowboy fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering for his favorite driver, Carl Edwards. He travelled all over the local area with his brother, Lou, to watch Cincinnatus sports, including the sectional playoffs and especially enjoyed watching his niece, Kelli, play soccer and basketball, and his niece, Katelynne play volleyball. With no wife or children of his own, he spent time with his brother, Mike, doing several projects. In addition to watching his nephew and nieces grow up, he enjoyed picking on his sister-in-law, Penny and taking almost nightly road trips to look for deer.
He is survived by his bothers, Lucian Clark, and Michael (Penny) Clark, all of Pitcher; a niece, Rebecca (Charlie) Miller of Pitcher; a nephew, Phillip Clark, of Pitcher; nieces, Kelli (Luke Peck) Clark of E. Freetown, and Katelynne Clark of Pitcher; a grand nephew, Isiah Miller; and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Vern Clark, in March 1985.
Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Monday, June 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. Burial will be in Pitcher Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Tim may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
