SHERBURNE – David L. Jenne, 68, of Chenango Ave., passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
He was born October 12, 1947 in Oneida, NY, a son of George Francis and Cleo Shaw Jenne. He was a graduate of Sherburne High School, attended Stony Brook State University, was a graduate of SUNY, Morrisville with two degrees, and Hartwick College with honors. David worked for Sheffield Products and its successors for more than 35 years. In 1990, he married Barbara Rowe who survives.
David enjoyed composing personalized greeting cards with his own meaningful verses for every occasion, and even a few made-up occasions! He also enjoyed watching the wildlife.
Besides his wife, Barbara, he is also survived by his step-children, Patricia (Al) Gordon of Belleview, WA; and Thomas Beck of Northford, CT; his brothers, Keith of Sherburne and Craig of VA; father-in-law, Gerald Rowe of Norwich; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Grace and Bohdan Krawczuk of West Seneca; Katheryn and Philip Inglis of Milton, PA; Charles and Doreen Rowe of Norwich; Mary and Darryl Traver of Deland, FL; Robert and Sheryl Rowe of Norwich; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents, and his mother-in-law, Agnes Rowe.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Friday, July 8, 2016 in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
