Katelynn Marie Coville, 30, of Mt. Upton, passed away unexpectedly with the love of her life, Steve Carpenter, from injuries sustained while riding a motorcycle.
Katie was born in Hamilton on March 21, 1986 the daughter of Judy Diamond and Dale Coville. She attended school in South New Berlin and had also earned her CNA (Certified Nurses Aide) certificate. Katie was a proud former auxiliary member of the Borden Hose Co, Mt Upton. Katie was currently employed by the Marriott Hotel in Oneonta.
Katie was an amazing individual and would live for the moment. She was a caring person and would help anyone in need. Katie was always bubbly which went along with her personality. Sunsets, rainbow’s, hummingbirds and horoscopes were among her favorite things. You could always see Katelynn with her Pepsi running to the next job, but never missing a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Katie believes in nature and nature signs from above such as the rainbows, cardinals and butterflies. She absolutely lived every moment she was here with us. She strongly believed in the stars and the power of horoscopes. She was a proud Aries and would often show the firey stubbornness of that sign. She often referred to her stubbornness as being Diamond strong. She was passionate about her family and cherished every minute she had with them.
Without question, Katelynn loved her family deeply, and she has often said that Jenna was her greatest accomplishment. Steve and Katelynn had their bumps in the road, but, they always found their way back together.
Katelynn is survived by her children Jenna & Zachary Carpenter of Mt. Upton, her mom & step-dad Judy & David Robinson of Oxford, her dad Dale Coville of Oxford, sisters Lorelei Coville of Oxford and Janna Holley of NC and grandmothers Mary Diamond & Arlene Voorhis. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Brianne Dewey, Cody, and Audrielle Clark, Madison, Mackenzie and Alex Holley.
