ONEIDA- Thomas E. Tefft. 54, Lenox Avenue, died Thursday evening, July 21, 2016, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, where he had been a medical patient for the past six days.
Born in Syracuse, on October 12, 1961, he was the son of Edward L. and Frances Kinney Tefft. A resident of Oneida for the past five months, coming from Hamilton, Tom was a graduate of Norwich High School, Class of 1979, where he lettered in several sports. Tom was employed with Madison County and enjoyed golfing and horseshoes. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his companion, Karen Burgdoff of Oneida; his mother and step-father, Frances and R. Daniel Hollifield of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his daughter, Alexandria Tefft and her companion, James Farnsworth of Las Vegas, Nevada; his son, Thomas Nathaniel Tefft of Queen City, Texas; his grandson, James Orion Farnsworth; his step-son, Jason Dunbar and his wife Melissa and two sons Jordan and Logan of Las Vegas; his two brothers and their wives, Mark W. and Sara Hollifield of Norwich and Keith and Brenda Hollifield of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and a special niece, Brylee Hollifield. He was predeceased by his father, Edward and endeared to his late grandmother Pauline Kinney.
