EARLVILLE – Abigail E. Bohnert, 19, of Reese Rd., died unexpectedly on Monday, August 8, 2016.
She was born February 5, 1997 in Syracuse, a daughter of Chad T. and Janine R. Davis Bohnert. She was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School where she was active with the winter guard, the student council, the home coming and prom committees, and was elected to the Prom Court in her junior year. Above all, her main focus was on her studies.
Abby just completed her freshman year at Le Moyne College with a 3.4 grade point average in political science with a pre-law concentration. While at Le Moyne, she was active in campus ministry and attended services there. She was also in the creative writing club and was published in the Le Moyne Literary and Graphic Arts Society’s annual journal, The Salamander. She loved to write, including poetry. She was also becoming involved in politics.
Surviving are her parents, Chad and Janine; a brother, Austin of Earlville; grandparents John Bohnert of Earlville; Cindy Lou Jones of Hamilton; Thomas and Elizabeth Connelly of Brewerton; great-grandmothers Clara Head of Hamilton and Marcia Riley of Monterey, CA; aunts and uncles, Dr. Jody Sima and Dr. Tamer Ahmed of Brewerton; Kathleen Connelly of Liverpool; Kyle and Megan Connelly of Mineola FL; many great-aunts, great–uncles and special cousins, Tyler, Riley, and Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her great-grandfather, Eugene C. Riley and a great-uncle, Mark J. Riley.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by interment in the Poolville Cemetery, Poolville, NY.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4-7pm Friday.
