Darlene M. MacDonald, 51 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on October 18, 2016 at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown, NY.
Darlene was born on May 11, 1965 in Cooperstown, NY to Charles and Virginia Briggs.
She was a graduate of Edmeston Central School. She was a member of the East Norwich congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Norwich, NY where she always greeted everyone with a hug and a smile. She was also involved in sharing her Bible-based beliefs and hopes with others, especially the hope of living in an earthly Paradise with all whom she loved.
On November 30, 1985, she married David MacDonald, the love of her life. She loved her family very much and was a wonderful wife and mother to her two children, Taylor and Owen. She was also a huge animal lover and particularly spoiled her two cats, Paige and Hunter. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Darlene is survived by her husband, David of New Berlin,NY; sons; Taylor and his wife Renee MacDonald of Oxford, NY and Owen MacDonald of New Berlin. She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Briggs of Richfield Springs, NY, as well as 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Norwich Kingdom Hall, 5250 Rte. 12, Norwich, NY.
There will be no calling hours.
