NEW BERLIN – Phyllis J. Terk passed away into spirit on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 25, 1933 in New Berlin, the daughter of Floyd and Mary Terk.
Phyllis was a graduate of South Berlin Central School, Alfred State College, Syracuse University and attended many postgraduate programs.
She was an excellent teacher, training many medical technology students and mentoring her many employees.
Phyllis’s green thumb resulted in a beautiful flower garden.
She is survived by her two feline companions Hunter and Penelope and relatives Gloria Cole, Ruth McGuire, Linda Sperry and many devoted former employees who became close personal friends.
Phyllis requested donations to Greenspace, SPCA or the Feline Program at the Cornell Veterinary College in Ithaca.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in South New Berlin.
Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
