BRISBEN – Wilma E. Davis, 86, passed away at home on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009.
She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd on Feb. 6, 2003; parents, Clifford Olin and Eva Davis; sister, Martha Decker; and by a brother, Roger Olin.
Wilma is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Marjorie Davis, Oxford, Clifford and Sharon Davis, Greene, Johnnie and Alice Davis, Greene, William and Linda Davis, Smithville; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Virginia Alger, Brisben; two aunts, RoseMary Ingraham and Bertha Barnes; two sisters-in-law, Carol Olin and Frances Davis; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Wilma worked on her family's dairy farm for many years. She enjoyed driving her friends on shopping trips and out to dinner. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral and committal services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene. Her grandson, Rev. Geoffrey Davis will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brisben Fire Department, Greene Emergency Squad, or to Chenango Hospice.
