CAROLYN DALE ROTHWELL MILES
Carolyn Dale Rothwell Miles, 78, of Norwich, passed away Monday morning, April 3, 2017, at the Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center of Norwich.
Carolyn was born on September 24, 1938 in Peekskill, NY the daughter of Ernest and Myrtle (Chambers) Rothwell. In the early years she made her home in Earlville and Norwich before settling in Plymouth in 1959. She also had made her home in Sherburne and over the years worked for TACO and the Norwich Knitting Mill before going into domestic services in 1967. In her spare time Carolyn enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, her pets, painting, reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her children; Lynnette (Ferris) Fairbanks, Michael Miles and companion Wendy Gage, Van Miles and companion Melissa, her grandchildren Nichole (James) Ladd, Jason Fairbanks and companion Samantha, Amanda and Hannah along with her great grandchildren Reese, Alexis and Ben. Also surviving are her siblings; Norma Onyan, Gerry (Charlie) Irwin, Edward (Fran) Rothwell, Roy (Sandy) Rothwell and Loren Rothwell. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Norman Miles, and her brothers Richard and Robert Rothwell.
At Carolyn’s request there will be no formal services and interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
