GERALDINE A. (GERI) RYAN
Geraldine A. (Geri) Ryan, 86, of Norwich passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, May 6, 2017, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Geri was born on January 6, 1931 in Troy, NY the daughter of John and Florence Guild Seith. She received her education from the Power’s Grade School, Knickerbacher Jr. High School and the Lansingburg High School all located in Troy. On January 1, 1950 in Troy she married William J. Ryan who passed away April 30, 2015.
Geri has made her home in Norwich for over 30 years. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the church’s Ave Maria Guild, helped on many funeral luncheons where she was known for her brownies and taught First Communion classes.
Geri is survived by her sister Linda Kohut and husband Gary of Fairfax Station, VA along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Bill, Geri was predeceased by her son William J. Ryan, Jr. and her siblings Janet, Marion and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Geri will be held on Tuesday, May 16, at 11 am from St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph A. Bove, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be on Wednesday at 1:30 in the Gerald B.H. Soloman National Cemetery in Saratoga.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9-10:30 am. The Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:15.
