SONYA R. (NaNa) THOMAS
Sonya R. (NaNa) Thomas, 41, of a lifelong resident of Norwich, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at her home.
Sonya was born on February 9, 1976 in Norwich the daughter of Ronald P. Thomas and Diane Branagan. She attended the Norwich schools and following her education immediately went to work. Over the years Sonya has worked for Kenyon Press, Price Chopper, Chobani, Greene Technology and the Evans Creamery.
Sonya lived life to the fullest. She was a down to earth individual who could at times be quite blunt. A “Firecracker” might be a way to describe her. She was good hearted and always had your best interest at heart, willing to help if she could, BUT don’t get her mad or on the wrong side of you.
Sonya is survived by her companion of many years Terry Clarkson, her children Austin and Alexis Bowers, her mom Diane Branagan, her dad Ronald Thomas, her siblings Jamie Thomas and fiancée William Flores, Kristy Thomas and boyfriend Josh Crandall all of Norwich and her brother Jeremy Burnette of Florida. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Dustin, Colin, Jeremy, Jasmine, Janee and James along with aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friend Liberty Burns.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 12 -2 pm. There will be no formal funeral service and there will be a private burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
