Ward James Brewer, 91, passed away peacefully on May 28 in Wilksboro NC
Born on March 13, 1926 to Lillian (Lawton) and Frank Brewer, Ward attended Norwich schools. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. During his life, Ward was a partner in the Consumer Coal company in Norwich. Later, he was involved in many highway expansion projects of the 1950's and 60's as a heavy equipment operator. Continuing heavy equipment operation, he ultimately retired from the City of Norwich Highway Department.
Ward is survived by his sons James Brewer of Florida and Donald Brewer and wife Cheryl of Norwich. Niece Donna M.(Farnham) Snyder, nephews Gerald M. Farmham and Timothy D. Farnham also survive. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Beatrice May (Brewer) Farnham and nephew Peter Farnham.
