BAINBRIDGE – Phoebe Ruland, 65, of Pinecrest Lane, Bainbridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at her home.
Phoebe was born Dec. 12, 1943 in Huntington, Long Island. She moved to Bainbridge in 1992 to be nearer to her family. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and also crocheting baby blankets for all of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her puzzle books. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandson.
Phoebe is survived by her children, Diana Auer, Elizabeth Hughes and Michael, Edward and Harold Ruland; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; two sisters and two brothers. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Ruland in March of 2008.
Funeral services for Phoebe will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 at the Wilson Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Hale, pastor of the Broad Street United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
