Mary Lou Campbell, 90, of Norwich, formerly of Earlville, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Residential Health Care Facility.
She was born June 22, 1927 in Earlville, a daughter of Lawrence and Carrie Ewing Tarbell and was a 1945 graduate of Earlville High School. Mary Lou married Donald G. Campbell in Utica, NY in 1946. He predeceased her on May 25, 2004. Mary Lou had been a day care provider and later worked in the Earlville school cafeteria for 10 years until retiring. She enjoyed being creative and doing ceramics, paint by numbers and sewing. She also enjoyed gardening and canning her fruits and vegetables. Travelling and camping with Don and family were some of her favorite times. Mary Lou had a marvelous sense of humor and a wonderful smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her children, Donna and Don Clemons of Pulaski; Jackie Archambo, Atha and Darrell Lawson, all of Norwich; Nancy and Larry Will of Georgetown; Donald, Jr. and Betsy Campbell of Sherburne; a sister-in-law, Marmie Tarbell of Sherburne; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law Larry Archambo, a son and his wife, Richard and Roberta Swetland; a grandson, Eric Peptis, her sisters and brothers, Peg Palmer, Henry Tarbell, Lawrence Tarbell, Jr., Lena Mason, Betty Thayer, Bunny Tarbell and Bea Furner.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the
Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by interment in the Earlville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10am until Noon prior to the service.
