Catherine Ann Lockwood, 64, of Norwich, passed away on Sunday October 15,2017 at Chenango Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 6,1953 the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lou Gehm of Whitney Point. She was employed with Norwich Pharmaceuticals for 40 years, retiring in 2014 as Director of Quality Assurance. She was a very generous person who touched many lives. Family was the most important part of her life. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bird watching, gardening, fishing, reading, playing tennis, playing pinochle, trips to the casino, and was an avid fan of the NY Giants (notice they won Sunday) and the NY Yankees.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mike Lockwood, of Norwich. She is also survived by her children Stephanie(Lockwood) and Jared Meek, Patricia Lockwood and Julie Murray, Hailey Lockwood and Heather Lockwood; her grandchildren Evan and Brynn Meek, Kenny and Lera Metz, and Triston Angle and VannaRay Bishop, all of Norwich. She is survived by siblings Michael and Mary Jo Gehm of Syracuse, Patrick and Janet Gehm of Palm Harbor, FL, Robert Gehm and Diane Pietroforte of Rockville Centre, NY, Dan and Susan(Gehm) Sandonato of Carlisle, PA, and Christopher Gehm and Dr. Cynthia Miller of Stroudsburg, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Catherine’s life will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 20th, at Broad St. United Methodist Church, 74 N. Broad St. Norwich with Pastor Rachel Morse officiating.
In lieu of flowers, it was Catherine’s wish that donations in her memory may be sent to her grandchildren’s college fund c/o Stephanie Meek 44 Mitchell St. Norwich NY 13815.
