LeRoy B. Hunter, 96, of Oxford passed away on November 4, 2017. LeRoy was born in Preston, NY son of the late LeRoy and Margaret (Wright) Hunter. He is also predeceased by his first wife Barbara Hunter and his second wife Marilyn Hunter.
LeRoy is survived by his children Daphne Burdick of Oxford, William Hunter of Oxford, Barbara Ingraham, of Oxford, John Bakoon of Bainbridge and Bonnie Davis of Endicott. Leroy is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family Dave and Carol Weir, MA, Ken and Terri Dickie, NC, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
LeRoy was a Marine who served active duty in World War II until he was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked as a carpenter for many years working for Ford Homes for and Security Mutual for several years until he retired. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and spending time with his family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Graveside services will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, NY on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
