George B. McLean, Jr. passed away on November 20, 2017 at his home. He was born in Freeport NY on September 26, 1928 to the late George B. McLean and Frances Laricos. He was a dedicated employee of Slomin’s Heating where he retired after 30 years of service. He was predeceased in 2009 by his wife of 62 years, Mary Fern. George is survived by his children, Sue Eagleton, of Norwich, George B. and Carol McLean, of Copiague, NY, Charles S. and Gail McLean, of E. Northport, NY, James R. and Nancy McLean, of Norwich, David W. McLean, Tony L. McLean, of Martinsville, IL., and Patrick J. McLean, of Windsor, NY; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ronald McLean, of Florida. In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. He will be laid to rest beside his wife privately in Illinois. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich.
