Laura Jane Brown, 69, of Lebanon Rd., formerly of Syracuse and Norwich, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born December 14, 1948 in Colchester, NY, one of fourteen children of Willis P. and Aretta W. Furgison Brown and received her education in local schools. Laura was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed watching TV shows, especially westerns, listening to music, going for car rides and drinking coffee. She loved spending time with her family and celebrating holidays.
Surviving are her children, Vance and Connie Lester of Norwich; Martin Hackett of Ithaca; Sherri and Elton “aka Nelton” Palmer of Earlville; a grandson, Michael Lester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY on Friday, January 5, 2017 from 5-7pm, followed by a funeral service at 7pm.
Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
