Andrew DeForest, 64, of Norwich passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Estella DeForest; his step-father, George French; his brothers, Gerald DeForest and Rodger DeForest; his step-brother, Ron French; and his brother in law, Dale Batten. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dawn DeForest; his children, Andrew and Tammy DeForest, Rebecca and James Henry, and Anthony and Katherine DeForest; his grandchildren, Garreth, Gwyneth, and Braden Henry, and Cloie and Keira DeForest, as well as an expected newborn grandchild; his brother, David and Pauline DeForest; his sister, Mary and Bruce Smith; his step-sister Charlotte Batten; and many nieces and nephews. Andrew loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing and going on drives. He also played guitar for local bands until his illness made him unable to do so. Andrew’s family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home 116 N. Broad St. Norwich from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
