Sheila M. Sullivan Mayer, 93, entered eternal life Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Sheila was born in Mechanicville and had lived in Ravena since 1949. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Agnes Sullivan. In 1984 Sheila retired after 38 years of service with NY Telephone Co. She was a communicant of The Church of St. Patrick in Ravena.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Don) Salhoff of Delmar and Nancy (John) Ritzel of Norwich; grandchildren, Stephen (Andrea) Salhoff, Kevin (Andrea) Salhoff and Laura (Rob) Bauer, Kate (Tim) Lansing, Peggy (Dave) Bathrick, Mary Ritzel and Ann (Danielle) Ritzel; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Mayer and brother, Robert Sullivan.
Sheila’s funeral Mass will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 16th at the Teresian House, Albany, NY with a calling hour prior to the service starting at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Coeymans.
