Muriel M. Clark, 91, of East Main St., passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her home.
She was born June 16, 1926 in Oxford, NY, a daughter of Dr. Adrian and Elizabeth Davenport Mills. An Earlville resident since childhood, she was a graduate of Earlville High School in 1944 and attended Michigan State University. On November 2, 1946, Muriel married Richard C. Clark in Earlville. He predeceased her on July 10, 2016. Muriel worked for the U.S. Postal Service for several years where she served as the Postmaster in Earlville until retiring in 1988.
Muriel was a member of the American Legion Post #236 Women’s Auxiliary and the U.S. Postmasters Association.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Donna Clark of Houston, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and David Morton of Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law, Jinene Clark of Earlville; sister, Jean Morgan of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Alan Clark in 2011.
Graveside services will be held in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne, at the convenience of her family.
