Minnie E. Clark, 96, formerly of Sherburne., passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018.
She was born October 12, 1921 in Brookfield, a daughter of Seward and Grace Wratten Livermore and was a graduate of Brookfield High School in 1940. On June 27, 1943, Minnie married Donald L. Clark in Brookfield. He predeceased her on June 4, 1990. Minnie had worked at several area restaurants, including the Imperial Tea Room and the Blue Bird Restaurant, both in Norwich. She was a loving mother whose greatest priority was raising her family as well as the foster children that she parented for 12 years.
Minnie was a charter member of the Christian Baptist Church in Sherburne. She was also a member of the Home Bureau for many years.
Surviving are her children, Joan Ashby of York, PA; Ruth Ann and Thomas Moore of Sherburne; Cindy and Michael Carney of Oxford; Donald W. and Carleen Clark of Oakboro, NC; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Alma Livermore; brother, Stephen Livermore; son-in-law, Dewey Ashby; and granddaughter, Renee Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be in the Brookfield Rural Cemetery at a later date.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2pm prior to the service.
