Margaret E. Johnson
Margaret (Maggie) E. Johnson passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the young age of 73.
Maggie was born June 26, 1944 in Franklin, NY to Helen (Collins) and Elmer Johnson. She grew up in Delaware County, attended Franklin school, and as an adult moved to Sherburne with her husband, Raymond D. Ogborn and Sherburne remained her home. Her smile, laugh and sense of humor touched everyone she knew and met. She loved people and she loved to laugh. She loved her family. She loved to dance, to camp, to listen to classic country, to toast with friends, and collect frogs.
Maggie married her sweetheart, Richard (Dick) C. Johnson February 9, 1980. After retiring from Proctor & Gamble, Maggie and Dick became “snow birds” and traveled to Zephyrhills, FL every winter to join their Florida “family”.
Maggie leaves many to cherish her memory - her husband of 38 years, Dick Johnson, and her five sons she was so proud of- Ray and Lisa Ogborn (Sherburne), Dale Ogborn (Eden, NC), Jim and Donna Ogborn (Red Lion, PA), RC Johnson (Sherburne) and Jayson and Karlie (Hill) Johnson (Smyrna). Grandchildren – Kayla (Ogborn) and Dan Buckley (Sherburne), Brent and Trevor Ogborn (Red Lion, PA), Elise Johnson (with a sibling on the way) (Smyrna) and two great grandchildren, Hayden and Brooke Buckley (Sherburne). Brothers & Sisters: Earl and Shirley Lampson (California), Louie and Linda Johnson, Wanda and Bill Aikens, Ruth and Lynn Kinch and Larry Johnson and Brothers & Sisters In Law: Marge (Ogborn) and Dick Spencer, Betty (Johnson) Seeber, Rosalie Johnson, Claudine (Johnson) and Henry Parker, Bill Johnson and friend Donna, Sally (Johnson) Rothwell, Marge (Johnson) Parker, Linda (Johnson) and Bill Excell, and Claudia (Johnson) Gesslein. And many nieces, nephews and cousins and so many loving friends.
Loved ones she will be joining in heaven – Her mother Helen Collins, her son RC Johnson, her brother Bob Johnson, first husband Raymond Ogborn, brothers and sisters in law – Ike Johnson, Lucy Johnson, Jim Johnson, Sandy Johnson, Jim Parker and Bob Rothwell and more family and friends.
If the smiles she brought could build a stairway, and memories she created made a lane to walk, we could walk right up to heaven and give her a hug!
