Vida S. Brodie, 74, of Marlboro Township, NJ died at home on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Mrs. Brodie was born in in Sidney, N.Y. She was raised on a dairy farm in Guilford, N.Y. and active in the 4H program.
She was an active member of the Robertsville Bible Church, Robertsville where she served on the Ladies’ Hospitality Committee and was a leader of the Ladies’ Bible Study for many years.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. Ernest F. Brodie, Sr.; two sons, Rev. Dr. Ernest F. Brodie, Jr. and his wife Carolee and Brian M. Brodie and his wife, Charity; two brothers, Dr. Donald Schlafer and his wife, Dr. Judith Appleton and Douglas Schlafer, Esquire; three grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Brodie, Catherine Brodie, and Sarah Brodie; and a great grandchild, Bentley Brodie.
The viewing will be held at the Robertsville Bible Church, 11 Church Road, Morganville on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney, N.Y. on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Robertsville Bible Church Deacon’s Fund would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, NJ is in charge of arrangements.
