Albert L. Dunham, 79, of Norwich passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2018.
He was born in Norwich on November 8, 1938 to Alvin and Anna Dunham who predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Richard Dunham and David Dunham.
Survivors include his daughters, Penny and Wayne Johnson, and Diane Law and Sherry Marshall; six grandchildren, Darren Johnson, of Vermont, Dustin Johnson, of South New Berlin, Derek and Paige Law, of Utica, Jennifer and Jeremy Barber, of Cazenovia, Chelsea Benjamin, of Rhode Island, and Kate Marshall, of Rhode Island; three great-grandchildren, Zachery Mark Barber, Kaylee Ann Barber, and Scarlett Rose Lewis; his brothers, Maurice and Dorothy Dunham, and Sidney and Sue Dunham.
Albert graduated from Norwich High School in 1959 and served his country in the US Army. Upon his discharge, he returned to Norwich and was employed at Sheffield in Norwich, was also a bus driver for Sherburne-Earlville School District and was the well-known owner of Dunham’s Bike Shop in Sherburne Four Corners.
Albert will be remembered as a big hearted man with an infectious smile willing to do anything for anyone. His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Chenango Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility for their kindness and caring for him over the past ten years.
A funeral service for Albert will take place at 12:00 pm on Monday May 14 at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich with Pastor Vincent Williams officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherburne. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
