Benjamin J. Yankowski Jr, 81, of New Berlin, NY passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Benjamin was born to the late Benjamin and Lottle Yankowski on March 8, 1937 in Throop, PA. He married his late wife Bonnie Wilcox on August 19, 1961.

He worked on local farms and as a mechanic at his Father in Law Wilcox’s gas station and retired from the South Edmeston Kraft yogurt plant as a forklift operator.

He enjoyed working on race cars and spending time at the dirt track with his family. Growing up, he loved fishing with his siblings and later, with his grandkids as well.

Benjamin is survived by his daughter Trudy Parry and her husband Jon Parry; his son Danny Yankowski and his significant other Penny Hughes; and three grandchildren, Justin Parry, Kristen Parry, and Cole Yankowski; four sisters, Pearlie, Shirley, Jeannie, and Mary Ann; and his brother Walter.

He was predeceased by one brother, Frank and two sisters, Bearnice and Tootsie.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, New Berlin with Father Steve White officiating. The interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.

Family is invited to his home following the service for light refreshments.
