Roy J. Phillips, 75, of Sherburne passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his home.

He was born August 23, 1942 in Dover, NJ, a son of Joseph W. and Lillian Benjamin Phillips.

He was a graduate with honors of Franklin High School in New Jersey and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-65. Roy had worked for the Sherburne and Norwich Senior Housing until retiring.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Surviving are his daughter, Sunni Phillips of Sherburne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Bonnie Phillips of West Springfield, MA; Joseph and Phyllis Phillips of Stroudsburg, PA; two grandchildren, Thea and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant sister, Joan Phillips.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at the convenience of his family.
