MT. UPTON – Tamara Lynn Russell, 52, of Mt. Upton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Norwich.
She was born in Utica, the daughter of Sidney and Edna (Carr) Pickens. She married Thomas Russell July 16, 1997 in Sherburne. She was employed at the Champion Co. of Norwich for 16 years. She had also worked as a dietary aid at the hospital in Sidney and also the Gilmore health care facility in Norwich.
She is survived by her husband Thomas of Mt. Upton, her father, Sidney Pickens and a brother John Pickens and a sister Sue.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris with the Rev. Dennis McKenna officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton.
