Joseph R. Collins, 60, of Norwich passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his home in Norwich with his family at his side.

Joe was born on July 15, 1958 in Baltimore, MD the son of Robert and Martha (Palm) Collins.

He grew up in Baltimore where he attended the local schools.

Additionally Joe served his country in the United Army from which he was honorably discharged.

His working career was with Bank of America in Philadelphia where he served as Vice President until his retirement.

Joe and his wife Dana have made their home in Norwich for the past several years.

In 1977 Joe married Dana Lynn Walker who survives.

Besides his wife Dana, he is survived by his children; Robert Collins, Christopher (Ola) Collins, Jennifer (Brent) Wessels and Sara (Joe) Ryan. Also surviving are his sisters Mary Collins, Madeline Collins, Catherine (Jim) Albertina, Joanne (Andy) Tolpa, brothers Timothy (Sue) Collins, Patrick (Joann) Collins, Michael (Terry) Collins and Gerard (Pam) Collins, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date.
