David L. Rogers, 75, of Smyrna/Plymouth passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2018, at the Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin.

Dave was born on November 3, 1942 in Norwich the son of George A. and Edith (Franklin) Rogers.

He spent his entire life in the Plymouth, Smyrna and Norwich area and was a graduate of the Norwich High School.

On November 3, 1962 in Plymouth he married Beverly Benedict.

Following his marriage he worked on his own farm and eventually worked his in-laws farm.

In the early 1970’s Dave went to work for the Chenango County Highway Dept. until his retirement in June of 1999.

Dave enjoyed joking around and people in general.

He like to help out on the farm, go coon hunting, watching sports and eating his ice cream.

Dave is survived by his wife Beverly, his children; Amy (Tom) Donnison of Sherburne, Sherri Hill of Plymouth, Debbie Thompson of Plymouth, Karen Rogers of Plymouth, Brian (Samantha) Rogers of Earlville, Dale Rogers of Plymouth and Marc Rogers of Plymouth. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Dave will be held on Monday, August 13, at 1:00 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the South Side Cemetery of Plymouth. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Monday from 11-1 p.m.
