Eunice “Elsie” Collins, 76, of Chapel St., passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1942 in Sherburne a daughter of the late Nelson and Dorothy Hill Post and was a graduate of Sherburne High School.

Elsie was employed by Wal Mart in Oneida and Norwich for over 10 years and was a member of the Sherburne United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, making picture books, sewing, and made many dresses over the years.

She was a very caring and energized person and made many lap robes for those in nursing care and was always doing something for someone.

Surviving are her children; James Collins of Munnsville, Timothy Collins (Liz Lewis) of Sherburne and Debbie Collins of Smyrna. Two brothers and three sisters in law; Harold and Shirley Post and Lawrence and Marcia Post all of Sherburne and Louella Post of New Berlin; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Post.

Service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Union Valley Cemetery.
