Frenda L. Papelino, formerly of Norwich, passed away from cancer on Sunday August 26, 2018 at Chestnut Park Skilled Nursing Facility in Oneonta, NY with a smile on her face holding her niece, Pauline’s hand.
She was born in Norwich on January 24, 1961 to the late Lena and Clyde Young.
She was one of nine children and is survived by her brothers, David and Linda Young of Oneonta, and Paul and Margaret Young of New Berlin; also many nieces and nephews survive.
Frenda made many memories with her family and friends, she loved to joke and tease and was known for her greeting, “Hey Trouble”.
She will be missed by all who knew her and her memories will live on. There will be a memorial luncheon at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 1, at the American Legion, 29 Sheldon St. Norwich.
Family and friends are welcome to attend. Frenda’s family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Chestnut Park Nursing Home for the compassion they displayed to Frenda and her family.
Also special thanks to Frenda’s longtime friend, Pat Jeffrey for her assistance during this difficult time. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
