NORWICH – Lois E. Parker, 74, of Norwich, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Lois was born in July of 1935 in Cincinnatus, the daughter of Harold and Clarica Price Hammond. Growing up in Cincinnatus, Lois attended the local school and furthered her education by earning her RN degree at the Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a veteran of the United States Navy serving her country as a nurse in the late 1950s. Lois has made her home in Norwich for the past 30 plus years, where she worked as a registered nurse for Chenango Memorial Hospital and the Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin.
Lois is survived by her long time companion, Thomas O’Hora; her son William Parker and wife Susan; and her adopted son Brandon Parker, all of Norwich. Several nephews also survive. She was predeceased by a sister, Johanna Hatch.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
