Candy Kathleen Grobel


Candace Kathleen Grobel (also known as Candy, Kiki, and Nana), 71, passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at Wilson Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Candy was born in Teaneck, NJ to Thomas and Bernadette Long.

Candy was an excellent seamstress, florist, and cook, as well as a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed coffee, cooking, Cashwords, and spending time with family.

She will be remembered by so many for her compassion, honesty, selflessness, and love.

Candy is survived by her daughter Bernadette Coles (Michael); her grandchildren Cheyenne Johnson (Shane), Megan Coles (Zack Mills); her nieces and nephews, Tommy Gould (Ashlee Luber), Chantel Brazee (Shane), Rachel Eddy (Gary), Colby Crandall, Samantha Cooper, Duane Ingraham; Great Grandchildren, Hayden Gould, Easton Miles, Londyn Johnson; Her brother Tom Long, Sisters Cyndi Gould (John), Colleen Cooper, her brother in-law Jim Grovel (Donna).

Candy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Robert Grovel and her brother in-law Wayne Cooper.

“It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you the day God called you home. Nothing can ever take away the love a heart holds dear. Fond memories linger everyday remembrance keeps you here."
