Albert F. Martin, 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 21, 2018.

Al was born on January 29, 1949 in Stamford, NY. He was a son of the late D. Robert and Ruth (Cross) Martin.

Albert leaves a legacy of showing us what it really means to love a career choice.

He is known by many farmers all over New York for being their favorite milk truck driver.

Throughout his milk trucking career, he had the cb handle “Cookie Monster” and he worked for companies such as Husted, Riddell Brothers Inc., Van Horn Trucking, LLC, Beers Trucking, Worcester Creamery, Elmhurst Dairy and Carson Skriker.

Al is survived by his caring family; life-long partner, Cindy Gilbert; son, Shane (Amy) Martin; step-daughters, Tara (Burt) Finch, Keri (Ben) Johnson and Kristyn Ryan; grandchildren, Aiden, Kaitlyn, Brennan, Devin, Cora, Shena and Josh; brother, Charlie (Linda) Martin; sister, Sharron Sawyer and several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law Joe Sawyer.

A celebration of Albert’s life will be held at the Post 1417 Morris Memorial Post, 314 Ellis Rd. Morris, NY 13808 on Friday, September 28, 2018 starting at 4PM.

The care of Albert’s funeral arrangements have be trusted to the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris.
