Cheryl D. Bartle


Cheryl D. Bartle, of Norwich passed away on September 24, 2018 at Chenango Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on September 17, 1946 in Greene a daughter of the late Alton and Elizabeth (Hunter) Abbott.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Bartle and great granddaughter, Gianna Rose Davis.

Cheryl is survived by her children: Darlene and Brian Conkling, Roberta and Tracy Bartle, Melody and Ryan Johnson, and Kathryn and Peter Stafford; her siblings, Raymond Abbott, Leonard Abbott, Angus Culipher, Gene McKee, and Charlotte Armlin.

She is also survived by her companion, Ronald Peck and family.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Aaron Muserallo, Anthony and Alexandria Muserallo, Benjamin and Anna Crosby, Morgan Conkling, Danielle and Cody Bess, Andrea and Nicholas Sharkey, Tyler and Alyssa Dodge, Eric Dodge, Leah Johnson, Bethany Brown, and Kaitlyn and Daniel Mondore; her great grandchildren, Wesley Crosby, Emmett Crosby, Fletcher Bess, Dominic Bess, Aria Sharkey, Chase Dodge, Tucker Dodge, Hunter Dodge, McKayleigh Dodge, Kylee Canfield, Jayce Burdick and Nora Burdick.

Cheryl graduated from Cincinnatus Central School.

She worked for Sears and Roebuck for over 20 years and retired after many years from Frontier Communications.

Family was very important to her, always enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her extended family.

She loved to knit, crochet and bowl. She and Bob enjoyed many trips together. In recent years she liked camping with Ron and having dinner at D&D Diner with friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St. Oxford. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery, German.

Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the American Lung Assn. or a charity of one’s choice.
